Job summary

AMR is seeking Float Paramedics to deliver compassionate, advanced patient care across assigned regions. The role includes driving ambulances on 911 responses and leading scenes when needed, with Paramedic certifications required for Kansas and Missouri.

The position offers a full-time, year-round opportunity with a salary range of $57,200.00 to $69,212.00 per year, depending on experience and location. Training includes BLS/ACLS at hire and potential PALS.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications.
State Driver’s License.
BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
PALS preferred, but not required.
Driving record compliant with company policy.
Pass Physical Agility Test.
Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

Assess calls and determine the best course of action per Paramedic protocols.
Utilize paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.
Communicate with patients and families to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relationships.
