Job summary

AMR in the United States seeks Float Paramedics to provide compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care across assigned regions. This full-time role requires flexibility to cover multiple shifts and respond to 911 calls with the ambulance crew.

Salary ranges from $57,200 to $69,212 per year depending on experience, with benefits and growth opportunities. Must hold KS/MO paramedic certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS is preferred, but not required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best action with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Use paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, IV fluids for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
