Job summary

AMR is seeking a Float Paramedic. The position offers a salary range of $57,200 to $69,212 per year, based on experience, with full-time hours across multiple Kansas and Missouri locations.

You will act as team leader on scenes, operate essential medical equipment, drive ambulances on 911 responses, and collaborate with health and safety teams. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, KS/MO paramedic certifications, a valid state driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications required.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS is preferred, but not required.
• Driving record must be compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow Paramededics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
