Job summary

OB/GYN Associates, P.C. is seeking a float nurse to join our practice on a full-time basis (32-40 hours weekly), Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. This role offers no evenings or weekends and includes a sign-on bonus.

The float nurse will support ambulatory patients with vital signs, history intake, documentation, and patient education. Opportunities to serve as primary, procedure, or triage nurse after orientation are available.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license.
• Ability to assess patient vitals and document accurately.
• Provide patient education and address patient questions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support to ambulatory patients across the office.
• Assess patient vitals and obtain patient history with accurate documentation.
• Record concerns or symptoms and assist with patient questions and education.
• Serve as primary nurse, procedure nurse, triage nurse, or other nursing roles after orientation.
• Prioritize tasks and maintain staff relationships while delivering exceptional patient care.

Duties:

• This position will provide nursing support to ambulatory patients throughout the office.
• The float nurse will have a wide range of responsibility, including but not limited to, assessing patient vitals, acquiring patient history with accurate documentation, record concerns or symptoms and provide assistance with the patient’s questions and concerns as well as help provide patient education.
• Float nurses may assist as a primary nurse, procedure nurse, triage nurse or in other nursing roles after orientation.
• The expectations of a float nurse, besides providing exceptional patient care, includes the ability to prioritize in their assistance of others, be knowledgeable and current in carrying out the specific responsibilities in all clinical nursing areas, and be able to build and maintain staff relationships.

The requirements for this position include completion of an accredited nursing program and must possess a current RN license.
