Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Centerpoint - Georgetown is seeking a Float Registered Nurse for night shift (3x12s, 7p–7a) with rotating weekends. The role requires adaptability to float across hospital areas, providing direct patient care and coordinating services.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in KY.
• BCLS; ACLS & PALS as per unit requirements.
• National Certification within 1 year.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other care.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Directs, mentors and evaluates staff; participates in performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Leads handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
