Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Prefer 1 year of medical secretarial experience.
• Experience with insurance verification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish insurance coverage and verify limitations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate communication with patients, staff, physicians and external agencies.
• Coordinate referrals to appropriate services when necessary.
• Register and schedule patients following established protocols.
• Answer phones from patients, physicians, nurses, technologists, and family members.
• Provide accurate information regarding patient preparation and test orders.
