Job summary

Galen Medical Group seeks a friendly Clerical Support for its Float Pool in the Chattanooga region. The role provides coverage across multiple Galen locations, handling front desk tasks, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out processes.

Mileage between sites is reimbursed as needed, with a 12-month commitment before applying for site-specific roles. Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating demographics, processing payments, and ensuring accurate documentation in the practice

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be computer literate and able to perform data entry with accuracy.
• Preferred: 3+ years medical receptionist experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in person or by phone in a professional manner.
• Collect and update demographic and insurance information in the practice management system.
• Verify coverage and eligibility; handle co-pays and balances per site protocol.
• Assist with check-in/check-out, scheduling, and switchingboard duties as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Support other team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
