Job description

Northside is currently looking for compassionate Medical Assistants for our clinical float pool!

Our float positions offer the opportunity to travel to different Physician Practices within the Northside Network.

In this position, we are providing:

• Flexible scheduling - pick up two weekday shifts per week.
• Coverage zones based on location.
• Compensation based on years of relevant experience, with a $2/hr incentive for clinical float MAs.

Responsibilities:

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting. Performs various patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team as delegated by the physician. Specific duties will be assigned based on competency and determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements:

1. High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education.
2. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or graduation from a U.S. Military medic course.
2. At least one year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
3. Additional clinical certifications may be preferred depending on the specific unit.
4. Visual color acuity screening may be required depending on the role and unit.
