Job summary

Oak Street Health in Topeka, KS seeks a Float Medical Assistant to support care teams across community-based centers. You will room patients, obtain vitals, and help prepare for provider visits, delivering high-touch primary care.

Under RN guidance, perform vaccinations, routine tests, telephonic support, and assist with scheduling and tests; EMR experience preferred; Spanish or other languages helpful. 40 hours weekly, with competitive benefits and a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Medical Assistant role
• CPR Certification required
• Medical Assistant certification or registration required; more than 5 years may substitute

Responsibilities

• Room patients in a timely manner and assist the provider with the schedule
• Obtain vitals and review medications; deliver patient screenings per protocols
• Assist in telephonic support to patients and coordinating care
• Perform waived laboratory testing and order/assist with diagnostic testing
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain infection control
