Raleigh Orthopaedic seeks a Medical Assistant for a full-time float position covering multiple locations in the Greater Raleigh area. You will support physicians during procedures and exams, ensuring a smooth clinical experience for patients from start to finish.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and efficient documentation in EMR. Experience with casts, splints, injections, and wound care is preferred, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication.
• Experience applying casts/splints and administering injections preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems a plus.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize urgent tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with set-up for exams and medical procedures.
• Coordinate and track diagnostic orders and results.
• Document patient messages, phone communications, and clinical orders.
• Apply and assist with casts and splints; perform wound care and dressing changes.
• Remove sutures and provide patient education on aftercare.
• Prepare and administer injections under supervision.
• Order and manage laboratory tests.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
