Job summary

Southwoods Health in Ohio is seeking a Clinical Support professional to join our patient-centered team. You will lead patient intake across multiple primary care locations, obtain vitals, record medications, and assist with lab specimens in a fast-paced clinic.

You will coordinate procedures, schedule surgeries, and manage physician block times while ensuring EMR data integrity and handling insurance authorizations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of direct patient care experience.
• Experience as STNA, Phlebotomist, CNA, or Pharmacy Tech encouraged.
• Medical Assistant schooling is a plus.
• Strong customer service and ability to multitask in fast-paced clinics.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient intake: room patients, obtain vitals, record medications, and process lab specimens.
• Schedule procedures and surgeries; coordinate with surgical vendors; manage physician block times.
• Ensure data integrity within EMR and manage complex insurance authorizations.

Location: Coverage across Mahoning and Trumbull counties

Status: Full-Time | 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday – Friday (5x8s or 4x10s) | No evenings or weekends!

• Experience: 1+ years of direct patient care experience.
• Diverse Backgrounds Welcome: We actively seek candidates with experience as an STNA, Phlebotomist, CNA, or Pharmacy Tech.
• Education: Medical Assistant schooling is a plus, but we welcome all candidates with relevant, hands-on healthcare experience.
