Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support a busy Clinical Support Team as a float across primary care and specialty clinics in the Treasure Valley. The role offers flexibility, 20 hours per week, and opportunities to learn multiple service areas.

The Medical Assistant will perform duties under physician supervision, with clinical oversight by RN leadership. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification within 90 days of hire from approved agencies listed by Saint Alphonsus.
• New Graduates: externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive patient care experience with compassion and kindness.
• Perform duties within Medical Assistant scope of practice as clinics require.
• Support and work under supervision of Physician/APP, with clinical oversight by RN Supervisor and SAMG Nursing Administration.
• Assist with efficient clinic flow alongside Providers, Clinical Support and Front office staff.
