Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a motivated Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Support Team as a Float. The role supports clinics across the Treasure Valley, providing care with compassion and teamwork.

You will work under physician/APP supervision; MA certification is required within 90 days from hire. Training and schedule vary with staffing needs; weekends/holidays possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies.
• New Graduates: MA certificate program or completion of externship/experience in lieu of externship hours.
• Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 year MA experience or current MA certification or obtain/renew within 90 days from hire.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC or Military Training Network required at hire.
• Obtaining MA certification may require completing an MA program or 1 year of MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to promote a positive patient care experience.
• Perform duties under the MA scope of practice based on clinic needs.
• Support and work under supervision of Physician/APP; oversight by RN Supervisor/Nursing Administration.
• Support efficient clinic flow and communicate with team members.
