Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks a motivated Medical Assistant for a Float position supporting diverse primary care and specialty clinics across the Treasure Valley. You will work in a team to ensure compassionate patient care, acting within the MA scope under physician or APP supervision.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and MA certification within 90 days of hire; CNA not counted toward MA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire from approved Saint Alphonsus agencies.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.
• New graduates: MA externship (100 hours) or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours.
• MA certification must be through approved credentialing agencies listed by Saint Alphonsus.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to promote a positive patient care experience with compassion.
• Perform duties under MA scope based on clinic needs.
• Support supervision by physicians or APP; clinical oversight by RN Supervisor and SAMG Nursing Administration.
• Support efficient clinic flow with Providers, Clinical Support and Front Office staff.
