Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support patient care and administrative tasks at an outpatient site. You will collect information, input into EMR, and assist with exams and procedures.

The role requires MA certification, 3+ years MA/phlebotomy experience, CPR, and state licensure. Travel to 12 Jacksonville clinics is expected; hours are 40 per week.

Qualifications

  • Must have an active Medical Assistant certification or registration.
  • 3+ years MA and phlebotomy experience in back-office direct patient care.
  • Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/CMA).
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience.
  • CPR certified.
  • This role is part of TB screening program.

The Float Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator.

The Float Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site.

Required

  • Must have an Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from one of the following organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Allied American Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), Foreign Medical and Nurses, National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP), National Association of Healthcare Technicians (NAHT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or Medical Career Assessments (MedCA).
  • 3 plus years of Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy experience in ‘back-office’ direct patient car
  • Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • CPR Certified
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 4+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00

Location: Must be flexible to travel within 12 clinics in the Jacksonville, FL area

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$44,900 - $60,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
