About the Medical Assistant Role

We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and driven Medical Assistant to support our physicians across clinics in East/Brainerd, Hixson, Athens, and Cleveland. The role involves clinical and administrative tasks, requiring multitasking and problem-solving skills. Podiatry or orthopedic experience and x-ray skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams, ensuring comfort and readiness
• Complete patient intake, including medical, social, surgical, and illness history
• Ensure accurate charting for physicians
• Assist with patient care, including vitals, procedures, bandaging, DME fitting, and x-ray procedures
• Perform administrative duties such as stocking and cleaning exam rooms
• Maintain sterilization and hygiene standards
• Document quality measures as required

Qualifications

• Experience in podiatry or orthopedics preferred
• X-ray experience a plus
• Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Athena
• Strong computer skills and medical terminology knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service-oriented with professionalism and empathy
• Reliable transportation, ability to pass background and drug tests
