Job summary

The Rural Metro Fire Department is seeking a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) based in Houston, TX. This full-time opportunity offers a starting salary between $65,239 and $113,480 annually, in addition to stipends and a sign-on bonus.

You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safety of our aircraft fleet, requiring EC135 maintenance experience and a valid A&P license. Flexible scheduling, including overtime and on-call rotations, is essential for this critical role.

Qualifications

• Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience.
• Six months of helicopter maintenance experience within the last 24 months.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Manage inventory checks and document expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and adhere to company policies.

Skills

EC135 Maintenance experience

FAA drug and alcohol testing program compliance

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent
