Job summary

AHL HealthCare Group seeks Float Direct Support Professionals to train and work at each program across Duluth, Hermantown, Two Harbors, and Saginaw, MN. Float DSPs travel between programs with week-to-week schedules and enjoy higher pay plus mileage reimbursement.

Part-time positions include day, evening, and awake overnight shifts. Duties include personal cares, daily living activities, medication administration, and activity facilitation in four-bedroom homes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in direct care or related field.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a MN DHS background study.
• Driver's license required with ability to pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal cares, daily living activities, grooming, cooking, cleaning and laundry.
• Provide positive, supportive interactions with residents and coworkers.
• Administer medications as trained and documented daily in records.
• Document services in the electronic system and records.
• Socialize with residents and participate in activities; accompany to appointments.
• Train in multiple programs and fill in based on scheduling needs.

AHL HealthCare Group is hiring Float Direct Support Professionals that will train and work at each of our programs!

AHL HealthCare Group is seeking extraordinary, kind, and compassionate people who can act as an advocate, supporter, educator, and caregiver to individuals with disabilities or mental illness as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). Our homes are in Duluth, Hermantown, Two Harbors, and Saginaw, MN, and are 4-bedroom residential settings centered around the individuals we support. Our most important goal is to provide services to enrich and empower the lives of our residents to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives and our DSPs are crucial in achieving that goal.

Float DSPs travel among our various programs and receive their schedule on a week-to-week basis and are responsible for filling in at programs based on scheduling needs. With this comes a higher compensation and mileage reimbursement!

Compensation:

• $20.00- $21.00/hour depending on program worked at
• Mileage reimbursement

Hours of Position:

• Part-time
• Day shift OR
• Evening shift OR
• Awake overnight shift

Typical Job Duties:

• Assisting with personal cares, activities of daily living, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Demonstrating positive and supportive behavior with the clients and coworkers
• Medication administration
• Documenting on the services provided daily in the electronic records and computer system
• Socializing with residents and doing activities with them
• Going to appointments with clients
• Training in at all programs and filling in based on the schedule of the program

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• 1 year of experience working in the field
• Ability to pass a MN DHS background study
• Every other weekend availability required
• Driver's license and ability to pass MVR check is a requirement for this position
• Working mobile phone to be reached at during availability/scheduling window
