Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate Float CNA to deliver patient-centered care across Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. The role covers dayshift, three shifts weekly, with flexibility to work at multiple sites and be reassigned as needed.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor patient status, document vitals, and communicate with the RN, participating in the IDG process to support holistic Full Life Care.

Qualifications

• Active Florida CNA license required.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Six months recent experience in Hospice, Home Health, or acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic personal care such as bed, shower or tub bath, oral hygiene, toileting, skin care, ambulation, and exercises under the RN and patient care plan.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the RN; actively participate in IDG meetings.
• Measure and record vital signs as ordered and within CNA scope.
• Communicate observations and updates to the care team to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated Float CNA to provide patient care at our Care Center in Pinellas County and Hillsborough county on the following schedule: dayshift 7:45 am to 8:15pm 3 shifts a week. The CNA delivers quality, patient-centered care under the direction of a licensed nurse, while monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition. As part of Empath Health, we help those living with advanced illness find comfort, dignity, and meaning, while supporting their families and caregivers with guidance and care every step of the way.What you'll DoProvides basic personal care such as bed, shower or tub bath, oral hygiene, toileting, skin care, ambulation, and exercise as directed by the RN and assigned by the patient’s plan of care (POC).Provides education in personal care, patient positioning, and ADL’s specific to patient’s POC.Measures and records oral, rectal, and axillaries temperatures, pulse, and respiration, and blood pressure when ordered within scope and training of the CNA.Communicates and regularly updates the RN regarding observations, progress/deterioration and comfort needs of the patient.
