Job summary

Iredell Health System seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) for its Float Pool to support primary health care delivery and patient management under physician supervision, with duties across front and clinical offices, and access to patient information.

Schedule: M-F 8a-5p; the Float will travel between Iredell Physician Network clinics; CMA or RMA required; venipuncture training preferred; strong communication and clerical skills; CPR within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Clerical experience including scheduling, payments, billing/coding, medical records; excellent computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; multi-tasking; customer service.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct delivery of primary health care support and patient care management under the direction of the Physician.
• Assist the physician in implementing nursing care as directed; all aspects of the medical office.
• May include responsibilities in the front office and clinical areas; has access to patient health information.
