FastMed Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Float Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to deliver direct patient care at various clinic locations in North Carolina. Candidates should be willing to travel and must have a valid NP or PA license from an accredited program.

Position Summary

FastMed Urgent Care seeks an experienced Float Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) capable of working full-time or part-time at assigned clinic locations providing direct patient care. The provider will be expected to travel to assigned clinic locations as needed to support clinic operations and use clinical skills and judgment to deliver exceptional care and create memorable patient experiences.

• Winston Stratford
• Greensboro Battleground
• High Point Skeet
• Salisbury

Qualified Candidates

• Willingness to travel and work at assigned clinic locations; comfort with seeing patients of all ages.
• Provide acute medical care to all patients while supporting standards of care and complying with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as X‑ray and laboratory tests.
• Work independently and with a supportive team; interact collegially with clinic managers and staff.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of patient medical records and confidentiality.
• Participate in assigned meetings and trainings as directed.
• Have experience using Epic EMR.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills

• Licensed (North Carolina) NP or PA from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• At least 2 years of experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred.
• BLS Certified.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license to practice in North Carolina.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

• Float providers are not eligible for "hot shift" incentive.
• Float providers are not eligible for mileage reimbursement between assigned clinics; mileage reimbursement policy applies if travel outside assigned clinics.
