Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Mojave, CA seeks a Flight Test Technician (Level 3 or 4) to support the Flight Operations Center of Technical Excellence for Test and Evaluation.

You will perform production and flight line testing, inspections, refueling operations, jacking, and mechanical repairs to meet rigorous test objectives. The role requires hands-on maintenance, interpretation of blueprints and drawings, and the ability to travel up to 25% with potential international travel.

Qualifications

• Active FAA A&P license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties and functions of test personnel in the assigned area.
• Determine and execute sequences for installing, removing, maintaining, and repairing critical components and systems.
• Conduct testing, rework, and repair using drawings, technical orders, and diagrams for mechanical, hydraulic, power plant, and structural systems.
• Carry out modifications and adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment to meet test objectives.
• Notify lead personnel of malfunctions and damages to equipment or product.
• Interpret and use drawings to repair or modify complex systems.
• Support shift coverage, primarily first shift with occasional nights, weekends, and flexible scheduling.
