Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Test Engineer in San Diego or El Segundo to manage end-to-end test programs, including lab, ground, and flight testing for NGAS. You will plan, staff, execute, and report on tests in collaboration with multiple sites and engineering teams.

The role requires leading flight test activities, coordinating risk management, and ensuring readiness across test programs. A Secret clearance and travel up to 25% are required, with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelors of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 12 years of relevant Lab, Ground and Flight test military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and 10 years of relevant Lab, Ground and Flight test military / professional experience, OR a PhD and 8 years of relevant Lab, Ground and Flight test military / professional experience
• Must have experience leading flight test programs
• Must have experience with program risk, opportunity and issue management processes
• Experience in Lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate lab, ground and flight integration and developmental testing for NGAS.
• Review status of test requirements, manage schedules, prepare test plans and test reports.
• Coordinate ground test engineering and operations, aircraft modifications for testing, with multiple sites.
• Provide staffing forecasts and ensure proper resources for the Test Statement of Work.
