Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electronic/Flight Test Engineer for the Edwards AFB, CA site. The role supports the AMRAAM missile program, performing integration, verification, and data collection in lab and flight-test environments with potential extended hours and travel.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering and hands-on experience with flight testing, test procedures, and MATLAB, with the ability to work independently and coordinate with government customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math or related engineering disciplines with less than 2 years of experience.
• Experience with flight testing procedures and integration/test.
• Experience troubleshooting varied electronic equipment and MATLAB usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration, verification, and testing in lab or field to ensure system meets specifications.
• Conduct data collection and analysis; provide quick-look reports of results.
• Work as a hands-on flight-test support engineer with potential non-standard hours.
• Support flight line testing around operational aircraft.
• Domestic travel of about 10% for project needs.
• Obtain and maintain necessary program access as required.
