Job summary

Archer, a San Jose-based aerospace company, seeks a seasoned Flight Test Program Manager to lead planning, execution, and certification of flight test campaigns. You will bridge design engineering, flight operations, and regulatory authorities to ensure safe, efficient testing.

Requires 7+ years in flight test operations or program management, BS in Aerospace/Mechanical Eng, Part 23/25 experience, and FAA regulatory proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in flight test operations or flight test program management
• Experience with Part 23 or Part 25 certification
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 21) and flight test risk management
• Proficient with scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera, Smartsheet) and issue tracking (Jira)
• Experience managing complex logistics and remote site operations

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of flight test campaigns from initial ground runs through final certification
• Serve as interface between Flight Test, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
• Develop, manage, and ensure compliance with flight test processes and procedures
• Coordinate with the FAA and DERs to support Certification and TIA activities
• Manage external test site logistics, including remote deployments, hangar facilities, and airspace coordination
• Lead daily stand-ups and weekly program reviews with cross-functional stakeholders
