Textron Inc. is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Technician to support the testing and development of avionics for V-22 tiltrotor aircraft at Patuxent River, Maryland.

You will collaborate with IPT members to plan and execute instrumentation installations, calibrations, and data collection for real-time analysis during flight tests. The role emphasizes hands-on wiring, troubleshooting, and leadership communication, with opportunities to advance in a dynamic aerospace testing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trades training in electronics or avionics preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in flight test instrumentation or avionics.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and obtain DoD SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, maintain, and operate Airborne Data Acquisition Systems (ADAS) for flight and ground tests.
• Perform daily instrumentation preflight checks and software loads.
• Guide Electricians and Mechanics on instrumentation installations and repairs.
• Fabricate electrical boxes for ADAS and data simulation/validation.
• Maintain inventory for instrumentation equipment and file trouble reports.
• Document work on RFAs and in Electronic Workbook.
• Adhere to Bell’s practices to ensure quality and safe data acquisition.
