Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer to design, install, and calibrate flight test instrumentation and RF telemetry systems for high-stakes programs across multiple aircraft. You will lead instrumentation installations, perform pre-flight checks, and collaborate with UAS and program teams to enable rapid, reliable test outcomes.

Based in California, the role requires 5+ years in embedded data acquisition on aircraft, strong data

Competenze

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field; radar systems or data science background acceptable.
• 5+ years of embedded data acquisition experience on aircraft.
• Strong data visualization ability using MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Simulink.
• Experience with high-channel-count measurement systems and RF telemetry.
• Experience with grounding, bonding, shielding for instrumentation signals.
• Willingness to travel and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Mansioni

• Decompose requirements to select and install flight test instrumentation and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with UAS engineers, customers, airworthiness experts, and program managers to inform safety and speed decisions.
• Spearhead investigations to diagnose instrumentation and RF telemetry issues and improve reliability.
• Design analytics-driven customer-facing products showing system performance and trends.
• Fabricate and install sensors and data paths into experimental aircraft, including wire harness routing.
• Perform calibration and pre-flight checks as signatory for GO/NO-GO decisions.
• Operate and maintain telemetry ground systems using ready-made software/hardware.
• Travel up to 50% to California, Nevada, Texas, and Oregon for test planning and execution.
