Job summary

Bombardier in Wichita is seeking a Flight Test Inspector to perform preflight and flight test inspections on experimental aircraft within the Learjet program. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards for ground and flight tests.

Ideal candidates have an airframe and powerplant license (highly preferred) and the ability to read and interpret complex engineering documents, with experience using precision measurement tools and a solid

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
Experience using precision measurement instruments.
Strong interpersonal and cross-team collaboration skills.
Knowledge of aircraft assembly and systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Perform in-process, pre/post flight, and final inspections of experimental aircraft to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety requirements.
Witness and inspect installation of experimental ground test articles and associated systems.
Document discrepancies and coordinate resolution with technicians or engineering personnel as appropriate.
Ensure all paperwork is complete and complies with engineering specifications and aircraft configuration prior to flight.
Prepare and maintain records and files such as maintenance records, inspection records, aircraft logs, functional test procedures, and flight test work orders.
