Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a Flight Test Engineer (open rank) to plan, execute, and analyze developmental and operational tests of aircraft and unmanned systems for DoD programs. The role requires coordinating test plans, data analysis, and reporting across lab and field environments, with travel as needed.

The candidate will contribute to test strategy, verification methods, and requirements validation, while collaborating with senior engineers to deliver robust test results

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication on technical topics.
• 5 years of full-time relevant experience in test design, execution, and documentation.
• Experience with radar, EO/IR, acoustic, EW, unmanned systems or related testing.
• Leadership experience in a relevant role.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Guide test-driven development for DT/OT programs including lab, ground and flight tests.
• Develop and execute test plans in line with the master plan and requirements.
• Perform data analysis to verify and validate test objectives.
• Lead the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
• Travel as required for test ranges and facilities.
