Job summary

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta seeks an Systems Engineer to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on DoD-focused programs. You will translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements, design architecture, and oversee implementation, testing, and performance monitoring.

Candidates should have strong systems integration experience, ability to work across vendors, and eligibility for a security clearance; travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in system definition, requirements analysis, design synthesis, and implementation.
• Experience developing and executing test cases and test reports.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical interfaces, packaging, and cable routing.
• Ability to interpret system requirements and Interface Control Documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct top-down functional analysis and translate requirements into detailed performance design criteria.
• Design and build templates to assist SMEs in providing critical system information.
• Conduct product or system design synthesis translating requirements into physical architectures for systems of low complexity to include defining and refining internal and external interfaces.
• Contribute to and develop technical reports and diagrams detailing product or system attributes.
• Create product and system definitions and conduct requirements and functional analysis for assigned integration and test activities.
• Support system design synthesis and definition of internal and external mechanical, electrical, power, communications, and software interfaces.
• Assist with Interface Control Document development, integration configurations, test procedures, and test reports.
• Develop, review, and execute test cases, test plans, and System Integration and Checkout procedures to verify system and interface requirements and system performance.
• Collect and analyze test data; identify anomalies; and support issue allocation, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Support vendor integration activities, baseline-promotion criteria, and requirements traceability for allocated system and interface requirements.
• Support laboratory, integration-site, and field-test activities, including test-article configuration, instrumentation, checkout, and technical documentation.
