Bombardier in Wichita, KS seeks an Avionics Instrumentation Technician to support flight test programs. You will perform pre/post test inspections, calibrations, and maintenance on experimental aircraft electrical and electronic systems, and help install instrumentation such as strain gauges and accelerometers.

You will troubleshoot assemblies, set up test equipment, and assist with towing, weighing, and data collection tasks.

Competenze

• Completion of coursework or training in basic avionics electronics.
• Typically 1 year experience in aerospace industry or equivalent with data acquisition instrumentation or avionics/electrical components.

• Adhere to General Work Requirements
• Perform pre/post experimental test inspections on data acquisition instrumentation, prototype avionics and electrical systems
• Perform maintenance on experimental aircraft electrical and electronic systems
• Assist with calibrations on experimental flight test aircraft
• Set up and operate test equipment for vehicle systems and instrumentation engineering support
• Assist with fabrication and troubleshooting prototype avionics and electrical systems or instrumentation
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies and test equipment
• Perform engineering tests of prototype avionics and electrical components and systems at on-site and off-site locations
• Assist with aircraft ballast changes
• Assist with installation of instrumentation, strain gauges, accelerometers
• Assist with aircraft towing, weighing, and related activities
• Assist other Avionics/Instrumentation Technicians or AMTs
• Access and re-install aircraft components obstructing tasks
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to standards
