Job summary

Bombardier Flight Test Center in Wichita seeks a Flight Test Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of flight-test experience. You will fly onboard experimental aircraft, lead a small team, and coordinate test activities across engineering disciplines to certify Part 25 aircraft.

You will work onsite in Wichita with regular interactions across engineering, maintenance and project management teams, adhering to safety and regulatory standards while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a flight test engineering organization.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Execute intermediate to complex engineering assignments across several fields of engineering.
• Lead a team of FTEs to meet program needs.
• Test planning, readiness, execution and reporting.
• Fly onboard experimental aircraft as a crew member following training.
• Coordinate test aircraft and equipment configurations for tests.
• Develop safety-critical real-time data displays and derived parameters.
• Ensure compliance with FAA/Transport Canada regulations.
