Textron Aviation is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to troubleshoot and repair avionics systems in our Wichita, KS service center. You will perform functional and in-flight testing, working from wiring diagrams and service instructions to ensure optimal system performance.

The role requires 3+ years in avionics repair, knowledge of electronics, and the ability to interpret complex wiring and orders. Full-time, on-site with competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft avionics systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of electronics and ability to use test equipment related to avionics systems.
• Familiarity with avionics systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, flight director, and pulse equipment (DME, transponder, weather radar).
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, aircraft orders, and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Test and diagnose avionics systems using wiring diagrams and service instructions.
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring discrepancies and replace defective units.
• Install and align equipment to meet regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with pilots during flight tests to validate system performance.
• Maintain compliance with FAA procedures and safety standards.
