Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Systems/Test Engineer in Orlando, FL, to plan, coordinate, and execute tests for aircraft systems and subsystems. The role includes developing test strategies and documentation for developmental, integration, verification, and operational testing, with collaboration across avionics, software, and hardware teams.

The position is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and requires a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering or related field; 5-7 years in test engineering or systems engineering.
• Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with test and integration on complex flight simulators.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute test activities for aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Develop test strategies, plans, procedures, cases, and reports across developmental, integration, qualification, verification, validation, and operational testing.
• Support test events involving avionics, mission systems, sensors, software, hardware, interfaces, and related subsystems.
• Coordinate with systems engineers, software/hardware engineers, flight operations, and leadership to prepare for tests.
• Define objectives, data requirements, resources, and configurations; support readiness and safety reviews.
