Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to develop and validate satellite integration and test solutions. This role offers fully remote opportunities across the United States with a preferred location in Merritt Island, FL and periodic travel to Airbus facilities.

You will lead test planning and execution, interact with cross-functional teams, and document results while ensuring compliance with interface specifications and mission concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related fields.
• Preferred Master's in STEM or related fields.
• 8+ years with Bachelor's or 6+ years with Master's.
• Experience in aerospace or defense industries required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regular progress updates and test reports to key stakeholders.
• Develop and execute tests for Airbus US satellite platforms, including ARROW.
• Lead the Integration and Test Phase for Systems Engineering through development of test requirements, designing test methods, and following through test execution.
• Create test plans for various levels of assembly: functional, environmental, compatibility.
• Develop and interact with the Flatsats and other I&T means.
• Develop sequences that demonstrate compliance with interface specifications at subsystem and satellite levels.
• Support the development of subsystem level requirements and flow-down to other components.
• Participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution.
• Perform initial diagnostics and troubleshooting of flight hardware and ground support equipment (GSE).
• Act as a communication bridge between Airbus U.S. engineering and operations teams.
• Develop and implement detailed test strategies.
• Document test results meticulously, highlighting anomalies or defects.
