Job summary

Wipro is seeking a Flight Systems Lab Technician to manage the Aircraft Development Lab in Palo Alto, onsite. You will oversee testing of motors, ESCs, batteries, and propellers, ensuring safe procedures and 100% data accuracy across experiments.

Responsibilities include test execution for propulsion tests, lab optimization, RCCA activities, and collaboration with engineering teams on new aircraft development. Strong focus on data integrity and test strategy in a hands-on lab environment.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of lab or propulsion testing experience.
• Experience with flight components such as motors, ESCs, batteries, propellers.
• Ability to ensure data integrity and experimental safety.

The Flight Systems Lab Technician is a critical role sitting at the intersection of hardware testing, data integrity, and laboratory optimization. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the Aircraft Development Lab, ensuring that flight components—including motors, ESCs, batteries, and propellers—are tested safely and that the resulting data is processed with 100% accuracy. You will serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams and the physical testing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Engineering & Execution
• Running propulsion tests (thrust stand and wind tunnel) for
• New aircraft development
• Cost-reduction and alternative supplier qualification
• Existing Propulsion system characterization and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)
• General wind tunnel testing for new package and aerodynamic subsystem development.
• Test Strategy & Architecture, Test Case Design.
• Mechanical subsystem testing for
• New package development
• Existing system characterization and RCCA
• Battery and charging system testing for
• Cost-reduction and alternative supplier qualification
• New battery chemistries
• New charging system architecture
• Existing charging system characterization and RCCA

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $148,500 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
