Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer in Huntsville, AL to develop and analyze guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms for air, land, and sea launched flight systems. You will implement these items in 6-DOF simulations and on flight software, and support flight tests with detailed pre- and post-flight analyses.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics and 8–10 years of experience in related areas, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
• 8–10 years of work experience in state estimation, GPS navigation, feedback control, trajectory optimization, guidance or optimal estimation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms.
• Implement algorithms in 6-DOF simulations and flight software.
• Conduct trade studies for design decisions.
• Develop techniques to assess, validate and verify performance.
• Support flight tests with pre-flight predictions and post-flight analyses.
