Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a design engineer for the Structures and Mechanisms team to design, analyze, and mature Terran R primary and secondary structures.

You will own projects end-to-end from concept through production, use NX/TeamCenter for design, and run analyses with Nastran or ANSYS. The role centers on hands-on hardware, manufacturability, and rapid iteration within a growing space company.

Qualifications

• 0-2+ years of experience in a design engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Experience with NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Working knowledge of structural analysis and test.
• Knowledge of structural strength, stability and fatigue.
• Knowledge of additive and traditional manufacturing processes.
• Full life cycle project ownership experience.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design flight structures and subsystems.
• Review loads, materials, and structural requirements.
• Analyze and size flight structures for timely design releases.
• Develop and support hardware test campaigns and data evaluation.
• Support manufacturing process development.
