Job summary

Relativity Space in California, Long Beach area is hiring for an aerospace design engineer to bring critical flight structures from concept to physical hardware for the Terran R vehicle. You will work across the Structures and Mechanisms and Base Heat Shield Structures teams, using NX/TeamCenter for design, ANSA/META and ANSYS for analysis, and hand calculations as needed.

Collaboration with TPS, Design, Test and Loads & Dynamics is essential to deliver on time.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in full-cycle design engineering for aerospace structures.
• Knowledge of structural analysis and testing methods.
• Familiarity with additive and traditional manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Bring critical flight structures from design concept to hardware ready for launch.
• Participate in conceptualization, design, analysis, manufacturing and testing cycles.
• Collaborate with TPS, Design, Test and Loads & Dynamics teams.
• Create and release drawings and support fabrication of components.
