Job summary

The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA is seeking Flight Software Test Engineers (Associate/Experienced/Senior) to lead testing and verification of flight software for space programs, with emphasis on leadership, quality, and new test capabilities.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, design test plans, implement automated tests, and ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity requirements through the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance post-start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
• 2+ years of experience performing software integration, test, validation, and verification
• 2+ years of experience with designing and developing software for a real time or non-real time system
• 2+ years of experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python

Responsibilities

• Lead software test and verification activities to ensure product quality, reliability, and functionality.
• Review software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability considerations with stakeholders.
• Design test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned to software requirements and specifications.
• Set up test environments (hardware, software, and network) to replicate production conditions.
• Execute manual and automated tests to verify functionality, performance, safety, and compliance.
• Identify, document, and report defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities; track resolution status with engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Mentor junior test engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of test processes.
