Job summary

SpaceX in Washington state is seeking a Platform Engineer for flight software on the Starlink program. You will own tooling and core flight software features, working closely with flight software developers to remove bottlenecks and simplify embedded systems development.

You will build and maintain code generation tooling, improve performance, and help shape a scalable flight software ecosystem for rapid iteration across ground and satellite systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM or 2+ years of software development.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Maintain flight code generation tooling for flight software and GNC engineers.
• Maintain core flight software features shared across satellite products.
• Work with flight software developers to fix slow or error-prone embedded software.
• Invent tools and processes for fast, accurate development and operations.
• Engage ground software teams to simplify constellation operations.
