Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. in Northern California, USA, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for the Network Software team to help design, implement, and test flight software that commands and monitors spacecraft.

You will develop firmware for control boards, collaborate across Payload and Ground Control teams, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring software runs on the spacecraft hardware. This role supports both commercial and US Government programs and offers equity and robust

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in modern C++ or C software development.
• Familiarity with design patterns and development methodologies.
• Experience with TCP/IP, I2C, SPI communication protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for space technology and high reliability systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Software for the Flight Computer / Earth Stations Hub.
• Develop firmware for control boards on the spacecraft and hubs.
• Improve reliability via CI, automated tests, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Payload, Ground Control, and Telemetry teams.
• Interface C++ software with flight hardware and custom devices.
• Deliver projects through incremental development.
