Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Software Engineer for the Space Special Programs team in Chantilly, VA. You will own the full lifecycle of flight and ground software across embedded, host, and payload systems, including data protocols, RF communication, ML, CV, and control algorithms in constrained environments.

You will work with senior engineers to design, implement, test, and integrate spacecraft software, FPGA interfaces, and mission-critical components while contributing to system designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or similar field.
• 3-4+ years software engineering experience developing embedded, host, and product software.
• Experience defining subsystem requirements and interfaces for mission systems with reusable software.
• Experience writing embedded C code and device drivers for resource-constrained environments.
• Experience writing host-level code for GUI, database interaction, and protocol interfaces.
• Experience maturing spacecraft development programs including testing and environmental exposure.
• Strong communication skills for presenting artifacts and designs.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain TS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop flight, ground, and payload software to meet mission requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across space systems and software domains.
• Develop and maintain software design artifacts and documentation.
• Support design reviews (CoDR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure traceability of algorithms.
