Job summary

Anduril Industries in Chantilly, VA, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own the full lifecycle of flight and ground software for space systems. You will architect embedded and application software, lead a cross-disciplinary team, and mentor engineers across hardware, FPGA, and software domains.

The role spans embedded, host, and data-processing tasks, including RF, ML, computer vision, and mission design support. U.S. citizenship and Top Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 8+ years of software engineering across embedded, host, and product-specific software.
• 3+ years leading a software team on small spacecraft.
• Experience developing subsystem requirements and interfaces with reusable software.
• Experience writing embedded C code, device drivers, with limited resources.
• Experience hosting GUI applications and protocol interfaces.
• Experience on mature spacecraft programs including testing.
• Experience creating design artifacts (CoDR/ SDR/ PDR/ CDR) and related docs.
• Outstanding communication skills; able to present artifacts clearly.
• U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
