Job summary

True Anomaly, Inc. in Denver, CO, is seeking a Flight Software Engineer III to contribute across design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight for space missions.

You will lead software development for flight computers, integrate GNC algorithms, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced, innovative setting.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in CS/EE, 4–7 years of embedded firmware, and proficiency in C/C++ and Python; TS/SCI clearance is supported.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science, electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in low-level firmware architecture, design and development.
• Experience with embedded RTOS such as RTLinux or Azure RTOS.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; ability to work with embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of the software development cycle for flight computers (on-board processors, processing units).
• Integrate complex GNC algorithms with flight software.
• Own and maintain ground/test databases for flight software.
• Collaborate with ground C2 software teams and provide technical guidance.
• Lead scripting and sequencing efforts for the spacecraft.
• Design and implement satellite subsystem simulators in HITL/SITL environments.
• Develop and maintain device drivers and communication protocol libraries for flight hardware.
• Mentor junior engineers on flight software practices and conduct code reviews.
• Contribute to flight software architecture decisions and trade studies.
