Responsibilities

  • Provides preflight briefings to aircrews, including foreign governments and contractors, on ICAO flight plans.
  • Reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans for technical accuracy and compliance with directives; ensures proper AIS formatting.
  • Briefs aircrews on air traffic control, NOTAMS, and airfield conditions; coordinates flight plan changes with FAA and control facilities.
  • Coordinates with FAA, ARTCC, RAPCON and control Tower on flight plan changes and flight following; manages special use airspace coordination.
