A military branch is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist in Twin Falls, Idaho. Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled inspections, functional checks and preventive maintenance on tactical aircraft.
  • Ensure the aircraft is ready by inspecting preflight and postflight conditions.
  • Perform general mechanical work.
  • Perform general mechanical work as opposed to working on a particular system or subsystem.

It takes hundreds of tactical aircraft to carry out our missions, including attack planes, fighters and strike fighters. As a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance specialist, you work with aircrew to ensure every part of these fine‑tuned machines are maintained to meet the highest standards. In doing so, you’ll keep our aircraft and Airmen ready to withstand disasters, respond to emergencies and take down threats at a moment’s notice.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled inspections, functional checks and preventive maintenance on tactical aircraft and aircraft‑installed equipment.
  • Preflight: inspect and perform various functional checks of the aircraft and ensure that the aircraft has been properly serviced with fuel, hydraulic fluid and liquid oxygen.
  • Postflight: ensure the aircraft is still in “operationally ready” condition.
  • Perform general mechanical work as opposed to working on a particular system or subsystem.
