Job summary

A military aviation branch is seeking a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance specialist in Arizona. Responsibilities

  • Maintain general mechanical condition of aircraft.
  • General mechanical work as opposed to working on a single system or subsystem.

Job description

It takes hundreds of tactical aircraft to carry out our missions, including attack planes, fighters and strike fighters. As a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance specialist, you work with aircrew to ensure every part of these fine-tuned machines are maintained to meet the highest standards. In doing so, you’ll keep our aircraft and Airmen ready to withstand disasters, respond to emergencies and take down threats at a moment’s notice.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled inspections, functional checks and preventive maintenance on tactical aircraft and aircraft-installed equipment.
  • Preflight: inspect and perform various functional checks of the aircraft as well as ensure that the aircraft has been properly serviced with fuel, hydraulic fluid and liquid oxygen.
  • Postflight: ensure the aircraft is still in “operationally ready” condition.
  • Perform general mechanical work as opposed to working on a particular system or subsystem.
