Job summary

JT4, LLC seeks a Flight Safety Field Engineer to support UTTR and weapon development programs as a safety SME, advising on mission planning and execution. Responsibilities include real-time monitoring of test articles, conducting SRBs, safety reviews, RF analysis, and coordinating with ROA, RSOs, and RCOs to ensure safe flight and proper termination.

Requires an associate degree in engineering or related discipline and 10 years of experience; strong communication, RF, EFTS, and systems

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent training with 10+ years of experience in the specialty field.
Strong knowledge of EFTS, RF propagation, and safety requirements for flight testing.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess test article performance in real-time against flight profiles and advise MCC RSOs/RCOs on continued flight or termination.
Conduct independent pre-mission Safety Review Boards to evaluate mission profiles and recommend actions to ROA.
Analyze and advise on adequacy of assigned programs and support design reviews and mission planning meetings.
Represent UTTR at design reviews, JITMs, safety evaluations, post-mission debriefs, mishap investigations, and related venues.
Evaluate test article flight routes for safety, conduct site surveys, and adjust routes as needed.
