Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Responsible Engineer to lead solar panel development for spacecraft, driving the full product lifecycle from concept to flight hardware. You will coordinate with Power Generation & Energy Storage and other vehicle teams to integrate solar panels into modules and vehicles.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, Aerospace Engineering or related areas

Responsibilities

  • Deliver space-qualified solar panel and backing structure flight hardware
  • Serve as technical lead, coordinating cross-discipline engineers
  • Drive new product development from requirements definition through production readiness
  • Lead internal design reviews and participate in reviews with suppliers and customers; support DFx
  • Effectively communicate development status, risks, and challenges to management
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and other teams to ensure smooth execution
